About me
Neuroaesthetics and wellbeing
Saskia Wheeler is a consultant in neuroaesthetics and wellbeing, exploring how design shapes the brain, emotional health, and human experience. Her work blends neuroscience, psychology, and sensory design to help create environments and experiences that foster calm, connection, and psychological safety.
Her curiosity with the sensory environment began during her studies in Philosophy in Dublin and Santa Barbara, where she developed a deep interest in aesthetics, perception, and consciousness. This led her to pursue an MSc in Neuroaesthetics at Goldsmiths, followed by research in consumer neuroscience.
Saskia now works to design brands, experiences, and wellbeing programmes grounded in interdisciplinary science. She has collaborated with creative teams such as Mother Design and YourStudio, and has received design awards for translating neuroscience into design for human-centred spaces and products.
Whilst grounded in scientific research, her approach is deeply attuned to how people feel, connect, and thrive in the spaces around them.
